Everdell is a great spin on the worker placement game archetype. The streamlined rules are set atop a fantastical and idyllic backdrop and require players to deal with worker placement, hand management and set collection. In Everdell, Starling Games have provided an excellent long game for a small group of gamers. Aside from the elegant and satisfying rules is the wonderful presentation, as the game board includes a slotted 3D tree for placing meeples and cards on. All of the cards included within the set are beautifully illustrated, depicting the adorable critters that dwell in Everdell.
