Orcs and Goblins are coming to the Old World!

Miniatures January 23, 2024 - 03:00 PM 0 Comments Matt Farmer

The Old World has been on many wargamers minds over the past few months! The release this month has been awesome, with the return of the chivalrous Bretonians and the fearsome Tomb Kings! But these 2 factions aren't the only options that players will have! GW has announced that all 9 factions will get support including the Orc and Goblin tribes, who will be the next army to release!

The Orcs and Goblins (also known as Greenskins) have been a fan favourite since the early days of Warhammer Fantasy! So it is no wonder that GW have decided to debut them in the Old World so early! The main part of the release will be a massive Battalion Box that will contain everything you need to start playing as these savage warriors!

Battalion box contains 73 plastic miniatures:

  • 2 Orc Boar Chariots
  • 31 Orc Boyz
    • 1 champion
    • 1 musician
    • 1 standard bearer
    • 29 regular Orc Boyz
  • 40 Goblins
Be warned that the Battalion Box only contains miniatures, so if you're a total beginner to the game, then you'll want to pick up an Arcane Journal also! We're sure that many more awesome figures will be revealed as the range of the Old World continues to grow!

Arcane Journals aren't necessary to play your army of choice, however, they do provide new and interesting ways to play. Each Arcane Journal also features one historical recreation scenario and rules for special characters that might show up in your army. If you are planning to focus on one particular army, then we recommend you pick one up!
