In the seven kingdoms of Westeros, the great noble houses clash in a struggle for the greatest prize of all: The Iron Throne. Play as your favourite house in A Game of Thrones, the living card game based on the bestselling A Song of Ice and Fire book series by George R.R. Martin. As with all LCGs, the game allows for a series of related sessions with the decisions made earlier affecting later events. The Starks, Lannisters, Baratheons and Targaryens are all playable as are other factions such as the ever-vigilant Night's Watch.
A great entry into the game is the base game which introduces the four main houses and includes everything you need to play a game of intrigue, diplomacy, and strategy for 2 to 4 players. After that, you could purchase one of the many chapter packs that allow you to increase your library of cards at a low cost. Some of these packs introduce new factions such as House Tyrell and House Martell, whilst others introduce events and themes familiar to those that have read the novels or watched the hit tv show.
