Collector Boosters are a new type of Booster introduced back in Throne of Eldraine! They are designed to be a premium booster pack opening for Magic players and collectors!
Each Collector Booster contains the following:
- 1 rare/mythic rare with extended art
- 1 foil rare/mythic rare
- 9 foil commons/uncommons
- 3 special-frame cards (showcase cards or borderless planeswalkers)
- 1 ancillary card
- 1 foil token (double sided)
The main thing that makes these boosters stand above draft and set boosters is the sheer amount of valuable cards within! This includes a great range of foil cards as well as mythic, rares and alternate card frames! If you are more of a collector than a player then the best way to turn your collection up to 11 is with a collector booster (or box)!
If you are trying to collect every card in a set, collector boosters prove invaluable. Draft and Set Booster boxes go a long way in grabbing all of the commons and uncommons in a set, but unless you want to end up with a massive pile of duplicates then Collector Boosters are the only way to get precious alternate art cards, showcase cards and cards from outside the set,, such as Commander Deck cards!
