Yu-Gi-Oh! is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in style with a ton of awesome products that highlight some fan favourites from the past! As part of the releases, 5 awesome booster sets from the early days of the game are getting reprints! The packs are some of the very first sets released and are a must have for any nostalgic fan! We thought that this would be a great opportunity to look back on the awesome history of one of the worlds favourite TCGs! Down below you can check out our thoughts on the awesome reprints and the original booster that inspired them!
Each booster pack contains 9 cards and will be available as individual packs and booster boxes containing 24 packs! Sets that are available include the following:
- Legend of the Blue-eyes White Dragon
- Metal Raiders
- Spell Ruler
- Pharaohs Servant
- Invasion of Chaos
Legend of the Blue-eyes White Dragon The very first booster pack released for Yu-Gi-Oh! The set introduced the core mechanics of the game and some of most famous cards of the early years, including Exodia, Pot of Greed and the eponymous Blue-eyes White Dragon!
Metal Raiders The second booster pack released, Metal Raider introduced an array of powerful trap cards, including Horn of Heaven, Magic Jammer, and Seven Tools of the Bandit!
Spell Ruler Spell Ruler was the first appearance of Ritual Spell Cards, Ritual Monsters, and Quick-Play Spell Cards! It added a great level of complexity to the game and laid the groundwork for future sets to change the nature of the game!
Pharaohs Servant Arguably Pharaohs Servant opened up the game and allowed for more complex play with cards like Jinzo, Premature Burial and Call of the Haunted!
Invasion of Chaos Invasion of Chaos continued what the previous 4 sets started and introduced a ton of powerful cards to the game that made for a super fun met experience and cemented Yu-Gi-Oh as a TCG that would stay at the top for 25 years!
