In Pandemic, several outbreaks of deadly viruses have occurred across the globe. Your role is to take on the role of a disease-fighting specialist and attempt to tackle each of these outbreaks, even as more occur, to stop any one of them from becoming a full-blown global Pandemic! With the game board depicting several major population centres, the players must travel the globe to treat disease hotspots while researching cures for each of four plagues before they get out of hand.
Each turn the player can use up to 4 actions to travel between cities treat infected populaces, discover a cure, or build a research station. Players use a deck of cards that will provide you with abilities, however, scattered throughout the deck are "Epidemic!" cards, these will accelerate and intensify the diseases' activity.
However the fun doesn't stop with Pandemic, there are loads of expansions to keep the gameplay new and exciting. Perhaps one of the most popular of these expansions is the Reign of Cthulu version, in this version you'll experience the classic Pandemic gameplay with a horrific twist that'll have you face twelve Old Ones. The Old Ones are threatening the world with unique powers, taking on the roles of investigators your job is to seal a series of portals before monsters of unspeakable horror pour into our world. Be careful though there is a high risk of investigators losing their own minds.
