Play Azul for a great strategy game

Win the favour of King Manuel I by being the greatest tiler of all time! Azul is a deceptively straightforward board game that is based around wonderfully decorative tiles! In the game, players take turns selecting tiles and then points are scored based on how the player has decided to decorate the palace. Extra points can be gained by completing sets or patterns and wasting supplies can actually lower a player's score! Like all great board games, Azul takes a simple and elegant mechanic and peppers it with a heavy dose of competitiveness. There will doubtlessly be a scramble to get the tiles you need and dastardly makeovers to steal your opponents favoured tiles before they have a chance to get them! Azul is a great strategy game for a new or young player and can be played with just 2 people, which makes it great for playing at home during the lockdown!

Plan B games have also released several variants on the original game! Azul: Summer Pavilion moves the action to Portugal and Azul: Stained Glass Of Sintra features gorgeous transparent tiles that resemble stained glass.
