This entire week we're celebrating the most spooky holiday all week! We are running deals, raffles and even competitions in our very own gaming centre! As part of the week's horror, we thought we'd highlight some of our most dreaded card horrors!! What is a card horror, you may ask!? Card horrors are simply things that go wrong with collectors and players when collecting TCGS! These horror may be accidental and often they are a result of not looking after your cards properly! In this series of posts, we're going to outline some of our most heinous card horrors and give you a way to fix or prevent them!

For Day Four we are focusing on a card horror that many of us were guilty of when we were younger! We are of course talking about the sin of not using a proper deck box and instead using an elastic band or hair tie! When we were younger it seemed wise to use our limited funds on more cards rather than deck boxes and sleeves... how wrong we were! We've discussed the faux pas of not using sleeves in last few Card Horror blogs and this instance goes even further! The use of these makeshift deck "boxes" leads to warped cards with heavy edge-wear!

The solution to this problem is pretty simple, and obvious! Just use a proper deckbox!! And, of course, sleeves! We stock a ton of checkboxes suitable for all games and formats, not matter the style of card of the deck size!
