All-new Pokemon Battle Academy coming to Japan!

A brand new Battle Academy has been announced for the Japanese market! The boxed set will include 4 decks and is due for release on the 8th of March! This is the first time that the Japanese game has seen a Battle Academy product, as that market usually receives a product known as Family Pokemon, which is also aimed at teaching new players (and especially younger players) the basics of gameplay. This new release however matches what we have come to expect from the International version. This gives us hope that we will see a localised version hitting the English TCG sometime soon! If you have younger children that want to make the transition from collector to player then Battle Academy is a great place to start!

The 4 decks that have been revealed include:

  • Sprigatito ex
  • Pikachu ex
  • Lucario ex
  • Greninja ex

It's not just the star cards of each deck that we have to look forward to, however! Houndstone ex, Armarouge ex, Darkrai ex and Melmetal ex all get brand new cards alongside a brand new Trainer card known as Picknicker!

Whilst we're not sure whether this Battle Academy will have an equivalent product in the English version of the TCG, we can't wait to get our hands on some of the cards revealed! If this has got you in the Pokemon mood, then make sure to check out all of our Pokemon products by clicking the button below!
